Dell has released three new personal computers belonging to the XPS series. Three new devices are represented by a laptop-transformer XPS 12 (9250), a full-size notebook XPS 15 (9550) and a compact laptop XPS 13 (9350). The devices are equipped with Intel Core processors of the sixth generation, and the operating system uses Windows 10. The XPS 13 and 15 housings are made of carbon fiber and aluminum with machining, and in models with a touch screen a Corning Gorilla Glass NBT protective glass is installed. It is also important to note that the presented laptops are equipped with a Thunderbolt 3 interface.
Thanks to the new interface, laptop owners will be able to connect a new Latitude docking station to them (the output is scheduled for 2016). In addition, XPS laptops are made of environmentally friendly materials and are supplied in a package of recyclable materials.
Laptop-transformer XPS 12 (9250) is equipped with a magnetic mount, which allows you to quickly convert it from the tablet to the laptop and back. This is the only hybrid device with an optional Ultra HD display, which provides 6 million more pixels compared to the Full HD format. The resolution of the front camera is 5 Mp, the rear camera is 8 Mp. The standard package includes a keyboard unit XPS 12, equipped with a backlight and a touchpad, and a cover-cover Dell Premier Folio, which allows you to position the tablet at various angles.
The XPS 13 (9350) notebook received the sixth-generation Intel Core processor, an increased amount of operational and permanent memory (up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of capacity in an SSD PCIe) and support for Thunderbolt 3. The device continues to be the world's smallest 13-inch laptop and is the first notebook of this class with an InfinityEdge display with a hyperfine frame. The battery life is up to 18 hours 14 minutes in a configuration with a Full HD display.
Notebook XPS 15 is equipped with a 15-inch display InfinityEdge and is the world's smallest laptop with a 15-inch screen thanks to the ultra-thin frame. The thickness of the body is 11-17 mm, the weight in the base configuration is 1.78 kg. The system is equipped with an UltraSharp Ultra HD display (3840x2160 pixels), which provides 100% coverage of the Adobe RGB color range. Depending on the configuration, the laptop is equipped with Intel Core processors of the sixth generation (up to 4-core Intel Core i7), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M graphics with 2 GB GDDR5 memory, up to 16 GB of memory with a frequency of 2 133 MHz, hard disk capacity up to 1 TB or SSD-disk with PCIe interface capacity of up to 1 TB, and support for Thunderbolt 3.
