On Apple sued because of the service iCloud

The American company iCloud Communications, rendering services in the field of VoIP-telephony, accused Apple of illegal use of the iCloud trademark, The Next Web reports  . A suit was filed on Thursday, June 9, at the District Court of Arizona.

iCloud Communications believes that the products and services that Apple offers under the iCloud brand are "aligned or closely related" to its own products and services. Because of the large-scale advertising campaign that Apple conducts in support of its new service, the plaintiff claims, media and users now associate the iCloud brand primarily with Steve Jobs company.

In its lawsuit, iCloud Communications stressed that Apple has in the past repeatedly violated other's trademarks. As examples, it was mentioned the lawsuit with the Beatles based record company Apple Records because of the word "Apple", as well as the conflict with Cisco Systems because of the name "iPhone".
