According to a Cisco report for 2013, devices running the Android operating system are the primary target for cybercriminals. The statistics of malicious web programs on mobile phones says that 71% of the affected gadgets function on the Android OS. The figure sounds awesome, but it's worth remembering that only 1.2% of the time the attack is aimed at a specific device.
According to Cisco, the form of malicious programs called Andr / Qdplugin-A became very popular. It is embodied in any application for Android, located in unofficial app stores. Therefore, the company strongly recommends using only the original Google Play store.
